Now, Dohner can remove a tattoo in as few as two sessions. The $200,000 laser, Dohner said, heats up much faster than previous lasers, which used to take about 20 sessions to remove a tattoo. Dohner uses Enlighten, by Cutera, a laser he calls “the latest generation of lasers for tattoo removal.”

McAllister doesn’t perform removals, but she recommends her patients go to an office with a laser.
